About Us:
JMT's Geomatics/Survey department offers an exciting work environment that leverages modern technology (terrestrial/mobile/aerial LiDAR, Drones, robotics, bathymetry, etc.), balanced with sound traditional survey procedures to deliver projects.
Position Summary:
Assist field crew leaders in performing day-to-day field work. Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g.
H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT
) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Learn to operate survey and SUE equipment Assist crew leaders in the performance of daily tasks Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities Perform other related duties as assigned Compensation for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hour, commensurate with experience, education and certifications. Benefits | JMT Required Skills Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening Valid Driver's License Required Able to pass Background Check Able to work 7:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday - Friday (Minimum) Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions Able to bend, kneel, lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed Team Attitude / Mindset Ability to travel required Required Experience High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Experience Knowledge in field surveying techniques, including data collection, traverse establishment, GNSS surveys, and construction stakeouts Working Conditions Field work is required 95% of the time, w work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Out of town travel is possible up to 40% of the time. Some lifting (up to 50 lbs) may be required as needed. Some Travel required. Some night shift work required.
