A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

West & Company is seeking experienced Land Surveyors / Field Engineers to support construction projects in multiple locations, including Alabama, Texas, and Ohio. These positions offer the potential to develop into long-term career opportunities with G.A. West & Company. Compensation is based on experience, and per diem is available for qualified applicants. Requirements

Must be able to operate Robotic Total Stations
Must be able to operate Topcon GPS systems
Must be able to operate SurvCE and Survey Pro software
Must be able to read and interpret construction drawings and compute required data
Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Must have a current, valid motor vehicle license
Must submit to all required background, medical, and reference checks, including drug testing
Must be willing to comply with the Company's drug-free work environment, including random drug testing
Must be willing to abide by all Company safety policies
Must be willing to travel
5+ years of experience preferred G.
