Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and experienced Land Surveyor Crew Chief to lead our surveying team in the field. In this vital role, you will operate advanced GPS surveying equipment, and ensure accurate data collection for a variety of projects including construction layout, ALTA surveys, topographic mapping, and legal boundary determinations. Your leadership and production oriented attitude will drive project success together with your personal advancement while maintaining safety and quality standards. Duties High production oriented field surveying activities using total stations, GPS systems and other advanced equipment to perform construction staking, topographic surveys, and boundary surveys. Calculate bearings from angles Maintain legible and complete field notes for each project Perform data collection and analysis using CAD software (AutoCAD & Carlson) to produce accurate survey drawings and reports. Oversee field crew operations ensuring safety protocols are followed while managing heavy lifting tasks and field logistics. Proven xperience in SW Florida construction staking Proven experience in SW Florida sectional calculations & land surveying Review survey data for accuracy and completeness; communicate findings clearly with project teams and clients. Strong knowledge of trigonometry, geometry, algebra, and math principles essential for precise measurements and calculations. Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD and Carlson a plus; experience with GIS tools like ArcGIS is a plus. Proven experience with construction layout surveys, ALTA surveys, topographic mapping, legal descriptions, and construction staking procedures in SW Florida. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Excellent data analysis skills combined with attention to detail to ensure survey accuracy.
