Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring patient safety, and providing exceptional service to our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, aseptic techniques, and medication administration within a hospital or pharmacy setting. Responsibilities Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. Maintain proper inventory levels of pharmaceuticals and supplies, ensuring all medications are stored correctly. Process prescription orders, including verifying patient information and medication details. Provide excellent patient service by answering questions regarding medications and health-related inquiries. Utilize aseptic technique for IV infusion preparation as required for acute care settings. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes through effective medication management. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with health regulations and safety standards. Experience Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred, particularly in a hospital or acute care setting. Familiarity with medical terminology and pharmacy operations is essential. Knowledge of medication administration processes, including inhalation therapies and IV infusion techniques, is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
