A Surveyor measures the surface of the Earth and collects data used to make maps, set boundaries, and determine the shape and contour of sections of land. Uses global positioning system (GPS) and global information system (GIS) technology to make measurements. May specialize in measurements to determine airspace boundaries; may conduct marine or hydrographic surveys to measure bodies of water and determine shorelines and water flow and depth.

Survey Party Chief Davis Surveying, Inc. - 5.0 Cape Coral, FL Job Details Full-time $20 - $30 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications Sketching Clear verbal communication English Boundary determination Surveying geometry calculations GPS receivers Full Job Description Experienced Party Chief needed for busy Land Surveying firm. Crew Chief will be provided vehicle to and from work. Candidate must speak fluent english and speak clearly. Must be familiar with Lee County, Florida rules and methods of surveying. Must be able to compute boundaries on-site before leaving the job. Must take clear notes and sketches. Must be able to use GPS equipment and work with a handheld controller/data collector. 2 weeks vacation per year, first come first served for time off schedule, maximum 5 days in a row. 5 sick days per year alotted. No health insurance at this time. Bi-annual bonuses garanteed, based on performance. Starting pay is negotiable depending on experience. Raise can occure after proven performance.
