We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Survey Crew Chief to lead our land surveying teams in field data collection and project execution. This vital role involves overseeing survey operations, managing crew members, and ensuring accurate data collection for a variety of civil and land development projects. Responsibilities Lead and supervise survey crews during field operations, ensuring safety protocols and project standards are met. Plan daily survey activities, coordinate equipment setup, and allocate tasks efficiently among team members. Operate and maintain survey equipment such as GPS units, 3D scanners, total stations, and robotic instruments. Conduct land surveys utilizing skills in trigonometry, geometry, and algebra to establish property boundaries and topographical features. Analyze collected data for accuracy and prepare detailed reports, sketches, and schematics for project teams . Maintain all field records meticulously and ensure compliance with safety regulations at all times. Requirements Proven experience in land surveying or civil engineering projects with demonstrated leadership capabilities as a Crew Chief or similar role. Proficiency with survey equipment including GPS systems, 3D scanners, hand tools, and CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, Carlson, ArcGIS. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during field operations while maintaining physical endurance for long hours outdoors. Excellent data collection skills coupled with attention to detail to ensure high-quality survey results. Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and project stakeholders. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; certification in GPS or construction-related safety training is a plus. Certified drone pilot is a plus.
