Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students as an onsite Physical Therapist for the 2026-27 school year. This position provides maternity leave coverage and plays a vital role in helping students thrive academically and physically. With a Monday through Friday schedule and approximately 37.5 hours per week, you'll enjoy consistent routines and the chance to truly make a difference.
Key Qualifications:
Current and active Minnesota Physical Therapist (PT) license (required for consideration) Previous experience as a PT in school-based settings or with pediatric caseloads highly preferred Ability to seamlessly adapt to a variety of caseloads, with details to be confirmed closer to the start date Strong communication skills for interacting with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Comfort in covering maternity leave and adapting to ongoing caseload changes Demonstrated commitment to inclusive practices and supporting diverse student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based physical therapy interventions within a K-12 educational environment Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to develop and implement IEP goals Document progress, maintain detailed records, and participate in IEP meetings as needed Provide assessments and develop tailored therapy plans for students Contribute creative ideas for enhancing student engagement and functional mobility
