Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as an onsite Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year, providing essential maternity leave coverage. This position is located near Anoka, MN, in a well-respected school setting. The assignment will begin in early September and conclude in early February, offering the chance to make a tangible impact supporting high school students across four campuses.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Minnesota—must be submitted with your application and resume for consideration. Previous experience in school-based OT settings is strongly preferred. Comfortable providing coverage for extended leaves and adapting quickly to new school environments. Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills working alongside teachers, administrators, and families.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy to high school students to support access and engagement in their educational programs. Assess, plan, and implement treatment strategies targeting functional living skills, fine motor development, and sensory processing within the school context. Collaborate with educational teams to create and update IEPs, ensuring goals are met during maternity leave coverage. Clearly document progress and maintain accurate, confidential student records in compliance with district and state requirements. Communicate effectively with staff and parents/caregivers regarding interventions, progress, and recommendations.
