We are a leading surveying and geospatial solutions provider dedicated to delivering accurate and reliable data to support various industries such as construction, land development, and infrastructure projects. We are committed to excellence in surveying services and are seeking a skilled and experienced Survey Party Chief to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
As a Survey Party Chief operating out of our Allentown, PA office, you will be responsible for leading survey crews in the field, overseeing and conducting various surveying tasks, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of survey data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land surveying, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring efficient and accurate data collection. Conduct boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking as per project requirements. Operate and maintain survey equipment, including total stations, GPS, and data collectors. Perform field calculations and verify survey data for accuracy and completeness. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project goals are met. Train and mentor survey crew members, providing guidance on surveying techniques and best practices. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during field operations. Maintain accurate and organized field notes, sketches, and other project documentation. Assist in the preparation of survey reports, drawings, and other deliverables. Keep abreast of industry advancements and technologies to enhance surveying capabilities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in surveying or related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Survey Party Chief. Proficient in the use of surveying equipment, including total stations, GPS, and data collectors. Strong understanding of surveying principles, techniques, and methodologies. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and travel to project sites as required. Proficient in relevant surveying software and applications. Knowledge of local and state regulations related to land surveying.
