Engage in training to stay current with emerging technologies and testing techniques. What Helps You Succeed An Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (or related field) preferred. Hands-on experience as an Electrical Test Technician or in a comparable role. Solid grasp of electrical systems, components, and their behavior under test. Proficiency with test equipment and related tools common to an electrical lab. Strong problem-solving instincts and meticulous attention to detail. Comfort working independently as well as within a collaborative team. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Prior, practical experience working with 480V systems.
