Position summary:

Responsible for supporting traffic studies and design using knowledge of traffic engineering principles and practices to interpret, organize, execute and coordinate assignments. Essential functions and responsibilities Assist in performing traffic impact studies, traffic analysis and other studies.

Support project managers in Traffic Signal, ITS design, signing and pavement marking plan preparation.

Perform design computation

Prepare MicroStation, Synchro models and project reports. Nonessential functions and responsibilities Perform other related duties such as field visit as assigned. Required Skills Proficient in Synchro, HCS, VISSIM and TransModeler

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Written and oral communication skills Required Experience Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from ABET accredited engineering program

5-10 years of experience in civil engineering or related field Preferred Experience Professional Engineer License (preferred)

Related experience

Experience working with local clients at the county and state level Working Conditions Work is performed within a general office environment 95% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment. Field work is required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25lbs) may be required as needed.
