Job Description

Talascend is currently seeking a Reliability Engineer for a long term contract opportunity with our client in Mobile, AL. Overview The reliability engineer will be responsible for driving maintenance and reliability best practices, designing asset care strategies, and supporting continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment reliability and performance. Responsibilities Serve as subject matter expert in the field of reliability Drive the adoption of established maintenance and reliability best practices Design or modify asset care strategies and procedures using risk-based and other methods such as RCM and FMEA Collaborate with technical resources to solve chronic equipment problems Lead equipment failure investigations using root cause analysis, 5-Why, and other analytic techniques Provide technical guidance to production, technical, engineering, and other teams in support of continuous improvement efforts Guide maintenance personnel in precision repair, maintenance, and installation of equipment Analyze the costs and benefits of equipment options to meet reliability objectives Create or modify site procedures to stay current with industry best practices Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in engineering Minimum of 5 years of industrial experience as a maintenance or reliability engineer Strong background and broad-based experience in maintenance, reliability, or engineering preferred Practical knowledge of current maintenance and reliability best practices and condition monitoring technologies Responsiveness and professionalism in communication with various stakeholders Must be analytical and capable of problem solving in a concise and logical manner Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage expectations and build credibility Ability to interpret financial and nonfinancial data and articulate the economic impact of decisions Process Safety Management experience Certification as a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) is preferred Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education We thank all applicants for their interest.
