Job Purpose:
Responsible for manufacturing processes compliant with quality standards. Support customers in failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective/containment/preventive actions. Assist customer focus team in resolving quality issues following quality standard practices. Develops and implements a plan for lean/6 Sigma deployment within the plant. Provides progress reports and action plans for lean/6 Sigma implementation. Perform other quality related activities as needed.
Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develops, evaluates, revises, and applies technical quality assurance protocols/methods to inspect and test in-process raw materials, production equipment, and finished products.
  • Ensures activities and items are in compliance with both company quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations.
  • Performs analysis and identifies trends in the inspection of finished products, in-process materials and bulk raw materials, and recommends corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed.
  • Assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards, such as GMPs, ISO regulations.
Evaluates and analyzes the efforts in organizing, documenting, and interpreting inspection support documents and records.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors of Science, Coursework or project background with Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Quality Control (QC) procedures and quality tools such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis(FMEA), and Design of Experiments (DOE).
  • 2-4 years of related experience as a Quality Engineer
  • Six Sigma and/or Lean-Kaizen experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Personable, must interface well with customers.
  • PCB and Contract Manufacturing Experience required Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer Salary Range(annual): $80,000
  • $90,000 Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package.
