Engineer Location:
Wayne, MI Pay:
$42.30+ per hour We are seeking a Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) Engineer to support vehicle quality, manufacturing performance, and problem resolution within a high-volume automotive assembly environment. This role serves as a key link between engineering and production, helping identify, analyze, and resolve vehicle quality concerns while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical engineering background, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience working in product development, quality, manufacturing, or program engineering. Key Responsibilities Investigate and resolve vehicle quality issues affecting production and customer satisfaction
Support manufacturing operations by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve product performance
Analyze component, process, and assembly concerns to drive quality improvements
Support quality objectives related to body exterior systems, including trim, decals, bumpers, latches, and sealing components
Review manufacturing data and provide technical recommendations for process improvements
Participate in cross-functional problem-solving and continuous improvement activities Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field required
5+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, product development, program management, or engineering
Strong root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
Experience in automotive manufacturing preferred
Six Sigma Black Belt training is a plus
