Job Description

The Reliability Engineer performs investigations on plant equipment to plan and prevent defects that may affect production using data analysis and daily route walks around the plant. The person in this position will constantly drive to minimize overall costs for the plant. This teammate will need the ability to work in a team setting or independently to ensure the division reaches its goals.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Know, understand, and follow all Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and requirements. Identify potential risks; with company assets that could affect production. Assist with the continuous development of organization procedures and process manuals within all departments. Coordinate with all departments to plan preventative maintenance and repairs on plant equipment Analyze data taken during routes to find machinery defects Monitor and analyze vibration data taken by the automation systems Write work requests in SAP for issues found during daily routes or database analysis Provide support to all departments to eliminate unplanned downtime due to equipment defects Provide reliability coverage as needed which may include extended hours, nights, weekends and call ins. Collaborate with all departments to plan actual and future material requirements Initiate and drive Continuous Improvement (CI) with the aim of achieving optimized plant performance Ensure that quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met Assist the QSSE department regarding safety and emergency measures and realization of safety and emergency plans Performs other duties assigned as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar degree, and a minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience Knowledge of manufacturing plant processes Good knowledge of local codes and standards Motors, PLC, Drives Experience preferred Hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance knowledge Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics and process flow diagrams Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) Experience in Autocad (CAD) Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, verbally and in writing. Skills will be used to produce quality reports and thorough instructions and directions. Must be able to walk long distances and stand and work for more than 2 hours in tough environmental conditions (high temperature, high humidity, noise, & dust), and withstand heights of up to 500 feet. Must have reliable transportation to and from work Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC-card
