SEA Systems Engineer

Duration:
Contract (1+ Year) Key Responsibilities Own the technical baseline development by capturing, analyzing, and finalizing functional and performance requirements while maintaining full traceability in DOORS and ensuring verifiability prior to Critical Design Review (CDR). Develop functional and physical system architectures, conduct trade studies, and recommend optimal solutions that support production readiness. Lead internal design reviews and facilitate external CDR sessions with customers, suppliers, certification authorities, and other stakeholders. Coordinate with Integration and Test teams on schedules, maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and develop comprehensive verification matrices covering HIL and SIL environments. Lead verification activities, analyze test results, resolve discrepancies, and ensure successful closure of verification requirements. Manage configuration baselines, version control, and change impact assessments throughout system verification and validation activities. Prepare and maintain key engineering documentation, including System Requirements Documents, ICDs, Design Descriptions, Test Plans, Risk Registers, status reports, and executive-level presentations. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers while collaborating across mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineering teams. Drive process improvements, enhance configuration management practices, and contribute to lessons-learned initiatives for future programs. Required Qualifications Proven Systems Engineering experience, preferably within aerospace or defense environments. Hands-on experience with systems engineering tools such as
DOORS, CAMEO, MATLAB
, or similar platforms. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience interpreting complex technical data. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences. Collaborative team player with experience working in cross-functional engineering environments. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions. Ability to adapt and perform effectively in fast-paced, evolving project environments.
