Exempt, Full-timeSUMMARY OF ROLE
The Executive Housekeeper oversees the overall operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and service are consistently maintained. This role is responsible for maximizing departmental efficiency, managing staff performance, and upholding exceptional service quality to enhance the guest experience and support the hotel's operational goals.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
include but are not limited to: Manage the overall operations of housekeeping and laundry departments to ensure maximum departmental productivity and exceptional service quality standards. Maintain adequate inventory and make available housekeeping and laundry supplies as prescribed by hotel procedures Oversees communication to guest services the status of all rooms in a timely fashion Establish and maintain cost controls for all housekeeping and laundry supplies, keeping in line with the current operating budget guidelines through constant associate training Develop, implement and oversee quality assurance systems to ensure superior, timely guest service in accordance with property standards Hire, train, motivate, discipline and terminate all housekeeping & laundry associates when needed. Accurately document all performance evaluations, discipline and terminations to reduce liability. Schedule staff accordingly to productivity and forecasting standards Take active role in developing departmental budget, monitoring, tracking and reporting any variances to budget in regards to operational and labor expenses Work closely with the Chief Engineer and management to provide safe and sanitary working conditions for all hotel guests and employees Conduct regular departmental meetings for the purpose of continued training and communication Meet regularly with other department heads for the purpose of continuing communication Develop, implement and oversee special projects to ensure maximum life of hotel supplies as prescribed by hotel procedures Perform other duties as assigned by managementKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Working knowledge of housekeeping procedures and standards `Must be bilingual, Spanish is a must. Accuracy and speed for executing assigned tasks and job responsibilities Communication skills are used frequently when interacting with the other hotel staff and hotel guests. Reading and writing abilities are used to document or record all tasks completed, to receive instructions for the day or to read policies and procedures Experience with hiring, training and supervising employees Ability to exercise good judgment and self-control Ability to prioritize responsibilities and be self-sufficient in periods of reduced occupancy Must demonstrate enthusiasm, trustworthiness, personal integrity and honesty Must be detailed oriented and have the ability to multi-task and meet job responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability to operate safely in the workplace Supervisory housekeeping experience is required Ability to work a variety of days, including nights, weekends and holidays Ability to read, write, speak and understand EnglishQUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred Experience in housekeeping services and supervision is preferred Ability to read, write, speak and understand EnglishPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
