Experienced Girls Competitive Gymnastics Coach

Part-Time Competitive Girls Gymnastics Coach (Experienced Team Coach) Ascend Gymnastics Olympia is seeking an experienced, passionate, and reliable competitive team coach to join our staff in a very part-time role. This position is ideal for a coach who loves developing athletes in a structured, positive environment and is looking to stay involved in the sport without full-time hours.

Pay:

Starting at $20/hour + DOE (depending on experience) Key Responsibilities Coach and support competitive team gymnasts during scheduled practices Deliver safe, effective instruction focused on proper technique, strength development, and skill progression Provide consistent corrections, feedback, and motivation in a clear and confident coaching voice Foster athletes' physical, mental, and emotional growth in a team-oriented environment Communicate professionally with athletes, parents, and staff Maintain a positive, disciplined, and athlete-focused training atmosphere Uphold all gym policies and safety standards Requirements (Please Read Carefully) Previous experience coaching competitive gymnastics is required (applicants without team coaching experience will not be considered) Strong leadership presence with the ability to confidently run structured practices Clear, effective communicator who can instruct and correct athletes in a positive manner Ability to balance accountability with encouragement Dependable, professional, and team-oriented Ability to work well with other team coaches and be respectful and helpful to recreational coaches Availability Must be available Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00-8:00 PM Must be available to travel for meets during competitive season (generally December-March/April) Position Details Very part-time hours (ideal for supplemental income or staying active in the sport) Coaching level 2-6 competitive team athletes, depending on the needs of the gym Supportive and collaborative coaching environment. You will be working alongside current team coaches to assist with coaching team athletes Ascend Gymnastics Olympia is one of four Ascend Gymnastics Centers in Washington State.
