High volume, full service scratch kitchen seeks a full-time, experienced Line Cook. 2 years experience in a similar, full service restaurant environment is required. In addition to performing well and demonstrating proficiency in grill, fry, sauté, and light prep positions, the candidate must... 1. Execute all prep assignments quickly, efficiently, safely and according to Tipsy'z standards and specifications. 2. Maintains a clean and sanitary work station including tables, shelves, walls, storage areas, cooking, and refrigeration equipment. Performs detail cleaning each shift without prompting. 3. Capable of performing routine kitchen equipment maintenance, like filtering and emptying fryers, and lighting pilots. 4. Understand and consistently comply with our standards regarding portion size, cooking methods, and kitchen rules at all times. 5. Ensure that all Guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times 6. Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times when on the line. Work well with your team, maintain calm demeanor when under pressure. 7. Keep waste to a minimum by preparing food items accurately and by following recipes and prep lists carefully. Product rotation. 8. Works as a team at all times with the other members of the BOH staff and assists others whenever possible. 9. Demonstrate respect and courtesy towards all FOH, BOH, Managers, and teammates. 10. Maintain a high level of productivity, even during down times. Focus is essential. Speed is of the essence, you must have the ability to multi-task and work very quickly to perform well in our environment.
