In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting petroleum products using a truck and trailer. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills, work with diverse equipment, and contribute to a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment. Responsibilities Operate a commercial tractor-trailer tanker truck to transport petroleum products. Load and unload cargo efficiently and safely at designated locations, ensuring proper handling of freight. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Follow designated routes for delivery, adhering to schedules while maintaining safe driving practices on highways and local roads. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other senior personnel to coordinate pickups and deliveries. Ensure all transportation activities comply with federal, state, and local transportation laws related to commercial driving and hazardous materials. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for tanker (X) Must have a current DOT medical card (Preferred) TWIC card or ability to obtain (Required) minimum of 1 year of experience in truck driving, especially in freight delivery or petroleum transportation. (Preferred) minimum of 1 year of petroleum transport (Preferred) experience driving tractor-trailers, tankers, flatbeds, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks. Knowledge of load & unload procedures and route driving best practices. Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks and the ability to relay the information up the chain Strong commitment to safety protocols and regulatory compliance related to hazardous materials handling.
