Experienced Mechanic

We are a family-owned automotive repair shop that has been serving the Cherry Hill community for decades. We're looking for an experienced Lead Automotive Technician to join our team and help us continue providing top-notch service to our customers. Job Overview As our Lead Automotive Technician, you will be the go-to expert in our shop. You'll diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles, from routine maintenance to complex engine repairs, while ensuring our high standards of workmanship are met on every job. This role is ideal for a dependable, skilled mechanic who enjoys a team-oriented, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities Diagnostic Excellence:

Accurately diagnose automotive issues (engine, transmission, electrical, etc.) using modern diagnostic equipment.

Quality Repairs:

Perform repairs and maintenance on various makes and models, ensuring each vehicle is fixed right the first time.

Leadership:

Lead and mentor junior technicians and support staff, fostering a collaborative and learning-focused work environment.

Workflow Management:

Help manage the daily workflow in the shop, ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and safely.

Customer Service:

Communicate clearly and courteously with customers and the team about vehicle conditions, repairs needed, and recommendations.

Qualifications Experience:

10+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience is required (this is not an entry-level position).

Certification:

ASE certifications (or equivalent) are strongly preferred. Master Technician level or dealership experience is a plus.

Skills:

Proficient with automotive diagnostic tools and software. Strong understanding of automotive systems and repair techniques.

License:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Work Ethic:

Reliable, honest, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. What We Offer Steady full-time hours, pay based on experience ($35-$40/hr), and a respectful, team-oriented work environment.

Schedule:

Full-time, daytime hours with no weekends (we operate Monday through Thursday, 9am to 5pm, so you get long weekends!).
