Field Mechanic

HEAVY EQUIPMENT FIELD MECHANIC

Description:

This position involves driving a service truck to various construction sites to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment. Daily tasks include oil changes, hydraulic fluid changes, greasing equipment, replacing hoses, repairing tracks, servicing HVAC units, and completing engine repairs. This is a hands‑on, field‑based role for someone who enjoys mechanical work, problem‑solving, and staying busy throughout the day. Responsibilities

• Drive a service truck to construction sites
• Perform preventative maintenance on heavy equipment
• Complete oil changes, hydraulic fluid changes, and lubrication tasks
• Grease equipment and replace hoses as needed
• Repair tracks, HVAC units, and engines
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and complete necessary repairs

Essential Skills:

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience in mechanics, diesel, or lube tech work
• Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Knowledge of diesel repair and preventative maintenance
• Experience with automotive repair and diesel engine maintenance
• Field service experience with excavators and heavy equipment
• Understanding of hydraulic systems Additional Skills & Qualifications
• 2+ years of mechanical experience in automotive or diesel technology
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• OneSource Level 2+ D&B

Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Martell, NE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $46000.00 - $58000.00/yr. Employee profit share program Guaranteed hours program Tools provided by company PTO and paid Holidays Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Martell,NE.
