Field Service Technician

LMS Equipment is looking for a full time Field Service Technician to work in our fast-paced construction and forestry equipment dealership.

The Field Service Technician needs to perform well under pressure and have experience with servicing construction and/or forestry equipment to excel in this role.

Responsibilities include the following:

• Diagnose and perform designated repairs on customer or company owned machines as directed.
• Mechanical knowledge of, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting.
• Preventive maintenance and general machine upkeep.
• Detection of faults using diagnostic laptop computers, gauges, and instruments in all machine systems: electronics, hydraulics, power train, engines and general machine performance is expected.
• Occasional operation of machine in the determination of repair need or repair assessment may occur.
• Disassemble and assemble machine components to manufacturer's specifications though the use of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and any specialized tooling
• Occasional use of basic welding equipment.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Load or unload equipment or components from customer owned or common carrier vehicles.
• Hauling machines to or from customers.
• Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
• Any and all duties as assigned.

Experience in the automotive, construction, and/or forestry industry is preferred, and compensation depend on level of experience. A clean driving record is a top priority for this position. A CDL is also preferred.
