Finance Director - Proctor

The City of Proctor is seeking a Finance Director to provide leadership in managing the City's financial operations and supporting long-term fiscal stability. This position oversees all aspects of municipal finance, including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, audits, payroll, investments, cash management, tax levies, and compliance with applicable state and federal requirements. The Finance Director works closely with the City Administrator, City Council, and Public Utilities Commission, providing financial analysis, guidance, and recommendations that support informed decision-making and responsible stewardship of public funds. This role also assists in leading the annual budget process, capital improvement planning, and year-end audit preparation, while maintaining strong internal controls and efficient financial systems across departments. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to clearly communicate complex financial information to staff, elected officials, and the public.
