Job Description
Position Summary Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Reconciliations Specialist to join their accounting team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records through daily, weekly, and monthly account reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and other financial records. Research, investigate, and resolve account discrepancies and outstanding reconciling items. Analyze financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies. Maintain reconciliation schedules and supporting documentation for audit and reporting purposes. Collaborate with internal departments to resolve transaction issues and improve processes. Assist with month-end and year-end close activities. Identify opportunities to streamline reconciliation processes and improve efficiency. Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and analysis. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of accounting, finance, banking, or reconciliation experience. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes. Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, and data analysis. Experience working with ERP systems or accounting software preferred. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Preferred Skills Experience handling high-volume reconciliations. Ability to identify trends, investigate variances, and recommend solutions. Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
