ProMach's MBF North America, suppliers of bottling and packaging equipment, is seeking an experienced Accountant responsible for daily accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting month‑end and year‑end close processes. This role provides critical support to the Controller and Finance leadership, maintains compliance with accounting standards, and helps drive process improvements across the organization. This position reports to the Controller. Are you passionate about this work? Essential Duties Financial Reporting & Accounting Leading role in month‑end and year‑end close activities to ensure timely and accurate results. Perform reconciliations of balance sheet and key subledgers (AP, AR, inventory, fixed assets, customer and vendor deposits, etc.). Maintain and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal ProMach accounting policies. Prepare standard weekly/monthly and ad-hoc internal reporting as needed by Controller. General Ledger Management Prepare and journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation. Maintain accuracy of general ledger accounts and ensure proper classification. Monitor accruals, deferrals, and adjustments. Compliance & Audit Assist with internal and external audit processes, including preparing schedules and responding to inquiries. Support tax filings, regulatory reporting, and compliance-related documentation. Process Improvement Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and automation and propose detailed improvement plans. Develop and implement efficiency enhancements for reconciliation, reporting, and documentation. Serve as a key resource for successful ERP implementation. Cross‑Functional Support Collaborate with operations, AP/AR, payroll, Project Management, and Shared Services to resolve accounting issues. Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure daily/weekly inventory cycle counting is completed in a timely fashion, and report results to controller. Serve as a subject matter expert on accounting treatments and financial workflows. Support budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration with concentration in accounting. 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP. Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (Infor Syteline preferred) Strong ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, systems, and ERP tools in a fast-paced implementation environment. Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight. Fluent knowledge of Spanish is a plus. What's in it for you?
