We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations for a dynamic retail environment in Union City, California. This role will oversee critical close activities, maintain accurate financial records, and help ensure the integrity of reporting across multiple locations and book structures. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities:

Assist with month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger activities.

Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

Support sales tax filings, quarterly returns, and 1099 reporting.

Coordinate audit requests and maintain internal controls.

Partner with departments to ensure accurate revenue, expense, and accrual reporting.

Support fixed assets, budgeting, CapEx planning, and ledger reconciliations.

Contribute to special projects involving GAAP compliance, ASC 606/842, and inventory accounting.

Identify process improvements and assist with ad hoc accounting projects.
