Responsibilities

• Verify data and perform data entry work from source documents (processing vendor invoices, bank feeds, recurring and adjusting entries, etc.) into accounting software (NetSuite)
• Reconcile and ensure accuracy of: POS sales data, gift cards sold and redeemed, third-party sales, all bank and credit card accounts, cash deposits and petty cash
• Code transactions appropriately and analyze account classifications of transactions
• Conduct and support Accounts Payable/ Receivable processes including: o Process documentation (AR/AP SOPS) o Preparing customer invoices o Receiving and depositing customer payments o Processing vendor bills o Preparing checks/ payments o Correspond with customers and vendors regarding account status and payments o Prepare and review aging reports
• Prepare supporting schedules for all balance sheet accounts to support period financial statements
• Prepare sales tax and file taxes with the State each month
• Calculate Royalty/Ad-Fund reconciliation by location
• Responsible for Vendor Management within the accounting system, including analyzing vendors profiles
• Responsible for the period-end close of the GL
• Support the period-end close process and ad hoc journal entries (i.e., rent allocation, depreciation, prepaid expenses)
• Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for daily and weekly processes
• Assist with payroll preparation (summarizing data for review), flux and trend analysis of income statement and balance sheet, preparation of timely and complete financial statement and package, financial analysis (i.e., cash flow, period financials, sales analysis, etc.)
• Complete ad hoc tasks/ projects as needed Minimum Qualifications
• 1-2 years of professional experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (or equivalent) required
• Experience with NetSuite and inventory management software (preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• High attention to detail Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Period-end close and franchise knowledge a plus
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, work under pressure to meet deadlines
