Type:

full-time Senior Accountant | Global Multi-Strategy Investment Firm | Stamford, Ct One of the world's leading multi-strategy investment firms is expanding its accounting function as the business continues to grow in scale and complexity. The firm combines the infrastructure, technology and sophistication of a global institution with the pace and ownership of a high-performance investment business. Its finance team sits close to firm leadership and plays a central role in how the management company is measured, controlled and reported on. The successful candidate will take real ownership of the management company close from day one, build a detailed understanding of how the business actually makes and spends money, and have visibility across Finance, Tax, Treasury and the operating teams. What you'll do Own core elements of the monthly and quarterly management company close, including accruals, prepaids, intercompany and expense allocations Prepare and review management company financial statements and supporting schedules Partner with FP&A on budget versus actual analysis and variance commentary for senior management Improve the close by tightening controls, automating manual work and cleaning up legacy processes Contribute to entity build-outs, system enhancements and ad-hoc projects tied to the firm's continued growth Who this suits CPA with experience working in public accounting or at a top tier asset manager Strong technical accounting foundation and comfort working under US GAAP Confident communicating with non-accountants and pushing back when numbers don't make sense Proactive, organized and motivated by building better processes rather than inheriting them If you're a Big 4 senior thinking about the move to industry, this is the kind of seat that's difficult to find: real ownership from day one, a finance team growing with the business, and proximity to leadership at a firm operating at genuine scale. Happy to have a confidential conversation if you'd like to hear more before deciding.
