October 2024 SummaryThe position is a key member of the accounting department and supports the Companys recognition of revenue and cost of goods sold. The individual will be critical in helping the Company execute the month-end closing process and support the audit of the financial statements. The position reports to the Manager, Revenue Accounting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reconcile and balancing general ledger accountsSupport the monthly close processReconcile carrier files while maintaining relationships with carrier partnersAssist with audit; prepare and maintain workpapersRecord revenues and COGs while maintaining detail data files for carrier/regulatory/audit purposesAd-Hoc reporting and analysis with other duties and special projects as assigned. Education and Experience Bachelors degree in Accounting is required; Masters degree preferred.1-3 years of relevant experience in accounting with general ledger experience required. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel with SQL preferred. SkillsMust have a desire to learn about the company and the Vehicle Service Contract industry along with the ability to learn various business functions, operations, objectives, and strategies.
