Location Various Full/Part Time Full-Time Exempt from Classified Service No Minimum Rate 61174.51 Min Pay Frequency Yearly Maximum Rate 108172.81 Max Pay Frequency Yearly Regular/Temporary Regular Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting and one year of accounting experience; OR Bachelor's degree to include 9 semester credits in Accounting and one year of accounting experience; OR one year of satisfactory performance as an Accountant 1 in the County service is required; OR five years of Accounting experience may substitute for the required four years of college education. Preferences Field experience working outside in various terrain conditions and exposed to the weather elements and/or working for a water and sewer utility, natural gas telephone, cellular, electric, geothermal, or other customer service utility is preferred. Recruitment Notes This is routine field work in reading and recording readings of water meters. The incumbent in this position will be responsible for the accurate recordings of water meter readings, maintaining good working relationships with customers, and maintaining their equipment and vehicles in good operating order. The incumbent in this position may be required to clean out meter boxes and replace, or report upon, broken lids and covers. This position entails extensive walking to include assigned meter routes routinely consisting of an average of 350 to 400 meters daily, reading meters, and recording readings electronically.
