Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you are responsible for specific accounting functions, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and support the company's financial integrity. The ideal candidate will bring extensive accounting experience, technical proficiency with financial systems, and a strong understanding of accounting principles to help drive accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency. Duties Process payroll and maintain payroll records; administer employee benefits and payroll tax compliance. Manage AP process for all Non-COGS accounts. Work closely with Sr. Cost Accountant as needed. Coordinate company insurance programs, renewals, audits, certificates, and claims. Manage operating expense accounts payable, vendor setup, invoice coding, approvals, and payments. Reconcile checking accounts, savings accounts, credit cards, loans, lines of credit, payroll liabilities, and other balance sheet accounts monthly. Assist with deferred revenue schedules and ensure proper revenue recognition. Prepare monthly financial statements including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement. Prepare cash position reports, cash forecasts, and monthly cash projections. Record journal entries, complete month-end close, maintain the general ledger, fixed assets, accruals, and prepaid expenses. Support tax filings, audits, CPA requests, and regulatory compliance. Continuously improve accounting processes, internal controls, and workflow automation. Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred. 10+ years of accounting experience. Experience in service, HVAC, plumbing, construction, or mechanical contracting preferred. Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise and Service Titan preferred. Advanced Microsoft Excel and accounting software proficiency. Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail; ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently. Strong communication skills suitable for collaborating across departments while maintaining professionalism.
