Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. In this role you will help review client financials, plan ahead for taxes, and prepare business and personal income tax returns. This position requires a strong background in QuickBooks and Excel. Minimum 3-5 years of tax preparation experience at a CPA firm level. Responsibilities Working with our business partners and clients to help manage client data during the year. Overseeing bookkeeping for many local small businesses in various fields. Providing tax planning and preparation services to small business owners. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA certification is a plus but not required. Proven experience in corporate or governmental accounting environments with a strong understanding of GAAP principles. Hands-on experience working with multiple financial software systems including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Workday, or similar platforms. Familiarity with technical accounting concepts such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, and complex journal entries. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel data analysis tools like pivot tables and formulas for detailed account analysis. Excellent attention to detail combined with effective time management skills to meet deadlines during month-end close cycles. Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially while demonstrating high levels of numeracy and accuracy in data entry tasks. Experience supporting SOX compliance efforts through documentation and internal control testing is highly desirable.
Pay:
$59,113.85 - $71,190.87 per year
