• $80,000 a year 19 hours ago Qualifications Accounting systems Microsoft Excel Bachelor's degree GAAP Accounting and finance experience Full Job Description Position Summary The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the organization's financial operations by performing a variety of accounting tasks, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, assisting with month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely. Perform account reconciliations, including bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Maintain and update financial records in accordance with GAAP. Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed. Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management review. Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Experience:

Approximately 3 years of progressive accounting experience.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
