Lead Project Accountant | Construction Project Accounting | Minnetonka, MN | $90K-$115K Project Accounting Leadership | WIP & Job Cost | Process Improvement We're partnering with a well-established organization in the west metro to identify a Lead Project Accountant who can provide leadership across its project accounting and accounts payable functions while helping create greater consistency, structure, and efficiency across the organization. This is a newer leadership-level opportunity overseeing a small team and serving as a key partner to Project Managers and the Finance team. The role will have hands-on responsibility for construction billing, job cost accounting, WIP, POC revenue recognition, accounts payable, and month-end accounting, while also providing training and quality control for the team. The organization is looking for someone who can take ownership of the function, standardize processes across Project Managers, improve billing and AP workflows, and enhance visibility into job profitability and project costs. Strong Excel and technology skills will be particularly valuable as the company continues to improve reporting and implement process and system enhancements. Broad responsibility across construction billing, project accounting, job cost, WIP, and accounts payable. Lead monthly WIP reviews and support POC revenue recognition and month-end close activities. Partner closely with Project Managers to resolve billing issues and improve project cost accuracy. Opportunity to standardize billing and accounting processes across a large volume of projects. Improve AP workflows, reporting, and visibility into job profitability and cost tracking. Opportunity to support technology initiatives, including AP automation and project workflow improvements. Strong Excel and ERP/job-costing skills are highly valued. $90K-$115K base salary, with flexibility for a stronger candidate.
