Accounting Generalist

Job Summary Monday

• Friday This position entails supervising various financial functions, including but not limited to accounts payable and receivable, payroll management, financial reporting, inventory accounting, and tax preparation assistance.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyze financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable. Ensure precise recording and classification of financial transactions. Evaluate financial operations, identify areas for improvement, and offer guidance on optimizing efficiency. Collaborate on developing annual budgets, financial forecasts, and strategies to achieve long-term financial goals. Monitor accounts for accurate reporting and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Create budget projections, monitor performance, compare actual results to estimates, and report on any discrepancies. Prepare for and facilitate financial audits and tax procedures. Maintain adherence to accounting standards and regulations.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Demonstrated understanding of GAAP and accounting principles. Strong grasp of applied mathematics. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail. Effective time management skills and a proven track record of meeting deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Proficient in accounting software applications.

Education and Experience:

Preferred:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

Preferred:

Minimum of three years of accounting experience. Experience with accounting software like QuickBooks, Sage, etc. Experience interacting with diverse stakeholders. Ability to multitask while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

Extended periods of standing may be required. Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
