Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will manage a variety of accounting functions including data entry, account reconciliation, and financial record maintenance. Your expertise will ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) while supporting our clients' financial health through precise bookkeeping and accounting practices. Responsibilities Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using financial software such as QuickBooks desktop or online, Sage, or similar systems. Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records Prepare journal entries, balance sheets, and account analysis reports with attention to detail and accuracy Handle payroll management tasks utilizing systems like Sage 50, QuickBooks online or desktop. Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information and client data Assist with month-end closing procedures, including ledger review and account reconciliation Support compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and governmental accounting standards as applicable Qualifications Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles with strong knowledge of GAAP and governmental accounting standards Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms Familiarity with payroll systems including QuickBooks, Sage, Gusto is highly desirable Strong technical accounting skills with experience in journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and balance sheet reconciliation Excellent numeracy skills along with the ability to analyze data using Excel data analysis techniques and spreadsheets Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and account analysis Effective communication skills for customer service interactions and team collaboration Join us to be part of a dedicated team that values accuracy, integrity, and proactive service. Pay:
$48,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
