Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and supporting financial reporting processes. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our financial data, facilitate accurate account reconciliations, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. Responsibilities Prepare and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepare and Review Financial Statements. Conduct general ledger accounting activities, including month-end closing procedures and detailed account analysis. Perform data entry tasks with high accuracy. Reconcile accounts regularly, including accounts receivable management and bank statement reconciliation to uphold financial integrity. Skills Strong understanding of GAAP accounting standards and governmental accounting principles. Experience with technical accounting topics including journal entries, debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and account analysis. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Excellent numeracy skills combined with strong attention to detail in data entry and spreadsheet management. Effective communication skills for customer service interactions within finance teams or external vendors.
