Accounts Payable Accountant

Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable position will assist in all essential job functions that contribute to the successful financial operation and health of Glacier Restaurant Group . Specifically, this position will assist in maintaining vendor records, sales, inventory, and monthly financial reporting, as well as facilitating efficient and accurate business practices for Glacier Restaurant Group and its affiliates. Job Duties and Requirements:

Accurately records vendor invoices in the appropriate company file. Ensures timely payment of vendor invoices. Creates and prepares all vendor checks for signing. Export sales and payables from the office reporting system and import them into the office accounting software. Record monthly inventory counts and transfers from the office reporting system in the office accounting software. Assist with month-end closing by ensuring expenses are recorded in the proper company and accounts. Troubleshoot any office reporting system issues for store managers Reconcile monthly statements and electronic payments. Communicate cash shortages to the Controller in an open and efficient manner. Complete filing and records maintenance frequently. Answers phone and directs calls in a polite manner. Assists the Controller with special projects as assigned. More specific job duties and requirements will be discussed with interview candidates.

Required Experience:

Associate in Accounting and/or equivalent experience with a minimum of 2 years. Strong working knowledge and experience with current accounting practices and products. Familiarity with Excel & Outlook is preferred. Must be accurate, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize while communicating in a professional manner.
