Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting firm. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting and tax skills, excellent analytical abilities, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations. Responsibilities Prepare individual and business tax returns using CCH ProSystem fx Tax Software Prepare tax estimates and projections for individuals and businesses Prepare and analyze balance sheets and income statements, including account reconciliations Prepare accurate and complete financial statements, including applicable footnote disclosures Perform general ledger analysis, account reconciliations, adjusting journal entries, and other accounting functions Research and apply current federal, state, and local tax laws Identify tax-planning strategies and opportunities to help clients minimize their tax liabilities Communicate directly with clients regarding tax, accounting, and financial matters Collaborate with and provide guidance to other members of the accounting team Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines simultaneously Assist with special projects and other accounting matters as needed Audit experience is a plus Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting 7+ years of public accounting experience Strong knowledge of accounting procedures and practices In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Experience preparing individual and business tax returns Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments and deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word Experience with CCH ProSystem fx Tax preferred CPA certification is a plus Audit experience is a plus Benefits We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, including: Competitive salary commensurate with experience 37.5-hour standard work week 401(k) plan Comprehensive benefits package Professional and collaborative work environment
