Job Description

Pinnacle Partners is assisting a client hiring a Senior Accountant that will support daily accounting operations, the month-end close process, financial reporting, and general ledger activities. This position will help ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and company policies while supporting process improvements, internal controls, and cross-functional accounting initiatives. Key Responsibilities Support daily accounting activities and the monthly financial close process. Prepare and review general ledger account reconciliations. Assist with monthly financial reporting and preparation of financial statements. Support the consolidation of monthly financial results. Handle intercompany accounting transactions, eliminations, and reconciliations. Maintain fixed asset accounting records and related schedules. Support compensation accounting, including payroll-related entries, accruals, and reconciliations. Assist with financial reporting packages and management reports. Partner with Accounting, FP&A, and other departments to gather and provide financial information. Administer the company's travel and expense reporting system. Support external audits and provide requested schedules and documentation. Assist with internal control and SOX compliance activities. Identify and help resolve accounting and ERP system issues. Assist with SEC reporting, including quarterly and annual filings. Participate in process improvement, automation, and standardization initiatives. Support special accounting projects as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. 6-8+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Experience with a large ERP system; JD Edwards or Oracle preferred. Excellent Excel skills. Fixed asset accounting experience preferred. Manufacturing experience preferred. Public accounting experience is a plus. CPA preferred but not required. Experience with financial statements for a publicly traded company is a plus. Experience with process documentation or flowcharting is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
