Staff Accountant Tulsa, OK | On-Site | $70,000-$80,000 + 4-8% Bonus Target About the Opportunity Our client is a growing fuel transportation company with an established presence in Tulsa and continued expansion following a recent acquisition. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accounting professional to join a growing organization with opportunities for increased responsibility as the Tulsa operation continues to expand. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager and play an important role in the company's accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger activities. Key Responsibilities Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts. Prepare and review financial information and account reconciliations. Assist with monthly financial reporting and analysis. Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and unusual transactions. Support the preparation of accruals, prepaid expenses, and other month-end adjustments. Assist with audit requests and other accounting-related projects. Work closely with other members of the accounting and finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial information. Support process improvements and accounting initiatives as the organization continues to grow. Assist with acquisition-related accounting and integration activities as needed. Take on additional responsibilities as the Tulsa operation expands. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. 3+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes. Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing environment. Preferred Experience Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP / Great Plains Experience with Oracle Experience with PDI Experience in transportation, fuel, logistics, energy, or a related industry Public accounting experience combined with industry experience Experience supporting acquisitions or accounting integrations Why Consider This Opportunity?
