Job Description

Accounting/Bookkeeping Position Position Profile:
We are seeking an accounting/bookkeeping expert to be responsible for full-cycle accounting for our business clients. Utilizing QuickBooks desktop and Online QuickBooks, their responsibilities include managing all aspects of general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, as well as handling payroll information, credit card statements, and cash flow. They may also be called upon for various other miscellaneous duties. Must be in greater-Austin area, however, working remotely is available. The job is extremely hands-on and detail-oriented, bearing much responsibility, so the bookkeeper must be responsible and self-reliant. The ability to present information to owners and coworkers is critical; in those presentations, they must be able to define problems distinctly, collect data accurately, establish reliable facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Accounting/Bookkeeping Responsibilities:
  • Perform and review bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review financial statements.
  • Produce sales tax reporting.
  • Compile monthly, quarterly and annual payroll tax reporting for federal and state.
  • Manage 1099 reporting.
  • Develop payroll excel spreadsheets and journal entries to QuickBooks.
Skills:
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, necessary for dealing with clients.
  • Must be well-organized with a high attention to detail and accuracy, flexible, creative problem solving.
  • Excellent phone skills and customer service, handling all client requests.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize duties and projects to meet deadlines, and work as an integral member of a team.
  • Trustworthy with an outstanding reputation of integrity and confidentiality.
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Proficient with QuickBooks desktop and Online desktop;
MS Office:
Word, Excel, Outlook; and
Acrobat Education:
  • High school diploma required
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
