Job Description:
Job Overview - Management Company Accountant (Strategic Finance) Atlantic Group is hiring a Management Company Accountant (Strategic Finance) for our client in New York, NY (Hybrid) to handle monthly and quarterly closes, cash activity, reconciliations, loan schedules, and intercompany transactions. This role will also support audits, strategic finance projects, and ad-hoc initiatives. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented with strong Excel skills and experience in public accounting or financial services Responsibilities as the Management Company Accounta nt
Month-End Close:
Record and reconcile key close areas, ensuring timely and accurate reporti ng
Cash & Banking:
Monitor daily cash, record fees and interest, and perform bank reconciliati on
Receivables Management:
Track employee and deal receivables, providing updates to senior manageme nt
Loan Accounting:
Maintain owner and intercompany loan schedules, reconciling interest and payme nt
Audit & Compliance:
Support year-end audits with documentation and ensure reporting complian ce
Process Improvement:
Maintain process documentation and assist with ad-hoc projects to enhance efficien cy Qualifications for the Management Company Accoun tant
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics requ ired
Experience:
At least 5 year of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting, with a strong preference for financial services audit experie nced
Certification:
CPA prefe rred
Technical Skills:
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, with proficiency in general ledger systems and financial reporting tools prefe rred
