Job Description

Northeast Pennsylvania growing aviation company is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is critical to supporting the day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be proactive, have strong analytical skills, and be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
  • Process accounts payable invoices and research any issues or discrepancies.
  • Process accounts receivable invoices and payments.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between bank and credit card statements and general ledger.
  • Assisting Controller performing other accounting-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to meet deadlines and work independently. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Work Environment:
This position will work in an office setting near Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, PA with the ability to work one-day a week from a distraction free home office. Hours are 40 hours per week and are flexible between the hours of 7 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Salary commensurate with experience.
