Senior Accountant:
Perform monthly closing procedures, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules Work closely with other departments to accurately record entries for accounting topics such as payroll and benefits expenses, inventory, and fixed assets. Create and maintain related supporting schedules. Review and provide insight on monthly financial results to assist in the preparation and monitoring of financial results, including variances from budget and forecast Prepare month end financial reports, such as financial statements, clinic analysis, and supporting schedules Prepare financial information for monthly management and board meetings Assist with preparation of supporting schedules for annual budgeting process Assist with annual financial audit preparation Assist with 401(k) Plan audit and partner with HR to support the financial management of the 401(k) Plan, including preparation of contribution calculations, review of 5500 filings, etc. Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, policies, and procedures What we're looking for in a
Senior Accountant:
5 years' experience in accounting; healthcare and/or public accounting experience preferred Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required CPA preferred but not required Solid understanding of GAAP principles Advanced Excel skills, including ability to create pivot tables, macros, and use of other advanced formulas and functions High attention to detail, solid critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to work independently to assess available information, draw conclusions and understandings, and present such conclusions effectively to other parties Solid organization skills and the ability to prioritize and stay focused on assigned priorities, work independently to meet internal and external deadlines, and produce a consistently high-quality product Strong communication skills and the ability to listen critically and interact with individuals at all levels of the organization Demonstrated ability to contribute to a team environment, ability to show initiative, exercise judgment, and adapt to change Why you should choose
