This is a hands-on role that pairs technical accounting ownership with active business partnering and team leadership. Working closely with SG&A department owners, the Senior Accountant helps build budgets, explains monthly results, and identifies opportunities to improve performance. This is a high-visibility opportunity to influence how the SG&A functions and the Canadian business are run. The role also leads and develops a team of two Staff Accountants, offering an excellent opportunity to build management experience while delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial results. Additional responsibilities include lease accounting, "non-EBITDA" reporting and commentary, and shared administration of the company's travel and expense platform. Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities SG&A Ownership & Business Partnering Own full-cycle accounting for the SG&A functions, including annual budgeting, month-end journal entries, and account reconciliations. Perform monthly variance analysis against budget and forecast, and prepare management reporting with clear, actionable commentary. Partner directly with SG&A department owners to develop budgets, review spending, explain results, and identify opportunities to improve performance. Canadian Business- P&L and Balance Sheet Ownership Hold overall balance sheet and P&L responsibility for the Canadian business, including annual budgeting, month-end journal entries, and account reconciliations.
