full-time About UTM UTM is a world leader in the design and manufacture of non-lethal training ammunition and firearm conversion systems. Our precision-engineered training solutions are used by military forces, law enforcement agencies and security professionals worldwide, enabling operators to train in the most realistic and safe environment possible. Our Brownsville facility is part of a growing international group. About the role We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to run day-to-day financial operations at our Brownsville site. You will record and reconcile transactions, manage accounts payable and receivable, support payroll, and produce the monthly reporting package. You will work directly with our group finance team and gain exposure to a multi-entity, multi-currency international structure. If you want a role where you see the whole set of books rather than one narrow slice, this is that role. What you will do Transaction recording. Record and categorize daily financial activity, including sales, purchases, receipts and expenses. Accounts payable and receivable. Process vendor invoices, issue customer invoices, monitor aging and manage collections, including cross-border vendor and customer accounts. Reconciliation. Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly and resolve variances. Payroll support. Prepare and submit bi-weekly payroll data, track time and benefits and calculate deductions. Payroll approval and bank release authority sit outside this role. Reporting.

Produce the monthly package:

profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow. Compliance and tax support. Maintain GAAP-compliant practices and prepare clean ledgers and schedules for external tax advisors. Records. Maintain physical and digital filing for financial documentation, receipts and contracts. What you need Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Two or more years in a staff accountant, accounting clerk, bookkeeper or similar role. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Solid grounding in bookkeeping and AP and AR fundamentals. Accuracy, organization and sound judgment with confidential financial information. US person status as defined under ITAR (22 CFR 120.62). This position supports export-controlled product lines. Applicants must be US citizens, lawful permanent residents, or otherwise qualify as protected individuals under 8 USC 1324b(a)(3). Successful completion of an employment background check. Nice to have Bilingual English and Spanish. Valuable for vendor and collections work along the Brownsville and Matamoros corridor. Experience with a mid-market or enterprise ERP. We run Oracle Fusion and will train the right candidate. We are more interested in whether you have moved between systems than in whether you already know ours.
