Job Description EchoPark Automotive is looking to hire an Accounting Specialist at our dealership in Stafford,TX. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for processing car deals, managing accounting tasks, and providing administrative support to ensure accurate and efficient dealership operations.
What You Will Do:
Review all retail and street purchase deal documentation for accuracy and compliance Finalize all deals in accounting that meet compliance requirements Route finalized deals to the title team for processing upon receipt of all funding Partner with the F&I department to ensure deals are being processed timely and accurately Submit aftermarket product cancellations to the cancellation team Perform schedule reviews and reconciliations throughout the month Assist in the preparation of the weekly asset meetings Be the point of contact for vendors regarding invoices and payments Review and process invoices for payment Complete monthly invoice reviews Act as a liaison between the store-level business operations group and the Shared Services Center Support in both internal and external audits by performing research and providing documentation as appropriate Prepare SOX reconciliations that may include the Vehicle Stock In Control, Month End Bank Activity, Bank Reconciliation, and Physical Inventory Reconciliation Assist with filing and scanning Provide administrative support to management, other departments and employees as needed Month-End Close Process Perform balance sheet reconciliations and book-adjusting journal entries as necessary Provide analysis of expense variances Produce month-end work papers to address specific financial results/metrics to be used as part of the monthly financial reporting package
What We're Looking For:
1+ years of accounting or back office automotive dealership experience Understanding of basic accounting principles Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and organize schedule Detail-oriented and time-management skills CDK experience a PLUS Intermediate excel skills All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license
