Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate and timely financial records.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to support reliable month-end reporting.
- Assist with corporate tax activities, including the preparation of supporting documentation and return-related schedules.
- Manage sales tax tasks across multiple states, helping ensure filings and records are complete and accurate.
- Support accounting operations for a large corporate environment by organizing financial data and maintaining compliance with internal standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather information needed for reporting, tax preparation, and account analysis.
- Review financial transactions for proper classification and alignment with accounting policies.
- Contribute to ongoing project-based accounting initiatives and provide support where additional staff coverage is needed.
